ISO9001 and ISO14001 are both internationally recognised management standards with a certification programme. Both require independent auditing on an annual basis by an external certification body.
The primary purpose of ISO9001 is to reduce the amount of non-conformances and enhance customer satisfaction through requirements of continual improvements for both products and business processes. The primary purpose of ISO14001 is to demonstrate that the company focuses on reducing their environmental impacts.
