Burrow, Reap and Merger designed by Hella Jongerius

12-01-2017

Hella Jongerius has designed three new exclusive rugs, Burrow, Reap and Merger for the Danskina collection.

Burrow is ideal for adding warmth and richness to any home. Hand knotted from soft, hand-spun, Tibetan wool, the plush texture reflects three levels of pile, running seamlessly from flat and finely woven to plush and soft.

Reap has the appearance of being stitched in rows of different rhythms, with a series of oval elements separated with a clean horizontal line. The overall effect is of a three dimensional abstract image. Cut from a large roll and finished to order, to any standard or custom size, each Reap rug is unique.

The design of Merger is inspired by colour blocking techniques. In this playful, fresh design, two tone-ontone colours are juxtaposed on a light or dark base, creating a lively and uplifting colour-block effect.
