Bilderbuchwerkstatt – Olafur Eliasson

Berlin, 2015

Olafur Eliasson has created a collaborative and educative room for elementary school children, as part of the newly opened spaces at the Berlin University of the Arts.

The artist, and former professor of the university, designed the space as a landscape, forest and experimental place. He describes his ‘room for education and images’ as a ‘place for unprejudiced, curious discovery of art and scientific phenomena. It is a place where you can trust your own senses and where sensation becomes a key experience – a place that stimulates aesthetic experiments.’

The Berlin University of the Arts is one of the largest worldwide artistic institutes and the only one that unites all disciplines of art and their related sciences.
