Axel Springer SE boardroom

Berlin, Germany 2014

The project: The architects behind the transformation of the Axel Springer office in Berlin have used Kvadrat textiles. The project involved reconstructing an entire floor of a skyscraper to make the executive boardroom area a ‘co-working’ space. All four board members are located on the same floor, with smaller offices but more collaborative spaces. This breaks the classical model of the rigid corridor with offices to create a space characterised by transparency, informality and openness.

Solution: Throughout the space, 250 metres of white Ginger have been used for curtains and room dividers. Hallingdal and Field are chosen for all sofas and cushions in the entrance lobby and central lounge space.
