Artist, sculptor, architect, furniture and textile designer Gunnar Aagaard Andersen is a pioneer of Danish Modern Art. A graduate from Denmark’s School of Arts and Crafts, his output explored non-figurative expressionism, the refraction of light, the nature of colour, and the structure of form. In developing his work, Gunnar Aagaard Andersen consistently experimented with unexpected media and innovative materials. He derived his motifs from sensual impressions, transforming them into visual, dynamic forms.
