Product description

Unlit Blockout by Louise Sigvardt is a premium metallised blockout textile designed to enhance any interior with a subtle shine and sophisticated elegance. This roller blind textile provides extensive control over privacy, glare, and thermal comfort. Its backside features an ultra-thin layer of aluminium that reflects sunlight to keep interiors cooler in summer and insulates to retain warmth in winter, reducing potential heating and cooling costs and carbon emissions. This innovative blockout textile features a three-layer construction: two thin textile layers enclose a central layer that completely blocks out light. The advanced lamination technique gives the roller blind a soft-brushed appearance, enhancing its aesthetic appeal. With its PFAS-free*, flame retardant properties and complete light blocking capabilities, Unlit Blockout combines style and functionality. The metallised backside of the textile creates a uniform façade appearance.

The versatile colour palette of Unlit Blockout enhances its applicability in various interior styles. Featuring sophisticated greys, deep night blue, and warm beige hues, it provides a range of colour tones that complement any design theme. Whether you want to create a serene atmosphere or make a bold statement, Unlit Blockout offers the perfect combination of style and functionality to elevate your project.

*Regrettably, PFAS are everywhere, with detectable levels even found in drinking water. Despite our commitment not to intentionally add them, due to their pervasiveness, traces of PFAS might still be detected. PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are a group of man-made chemicals commonly used in various industrial applications for their resistance to heat, water, and oil.

Performance
  • LightFastness {{site.selectedConfiguration.lightFastness}}

    ISO 105-B02

    Lightfastness relates to the ability of a textile to retain its colour under light. When testing for lightfastness, samples are exposed to artificial daylight for a specified period.

    The evaluation scale ranges from 1 (worst) to 8 (best). An increase of one point corresponds to a doubling of the lightfastness, i.e. the same fading takes twice as long.

  • Exterior LightFastness 8
  • Visual light transmission {{site.selectedConfiguration.lightTransmission}}%

    Light transmittance indicates the percentage of the visible light penetrating the textile. Densely woven textiles in dark colours usually have a lower light transmittance, whereas loosely woven fabrics in light colours allow more light to pass through.

  • Fire tests NFPA 701 • DIN 4102 B1 • BS 5867 part 2 type B • EN 13501-1, B-s1, d0

    Flame retardant performance depends on the type of foam used. There are differing requirements concerning the flame-retardancy of textiles dependent on the area of application, country or even region. Our textiles pass the majority of international standards and are also tested for a selection of regional requirements.

  • Glare control rating {{site.selectedConfiguration.glareControlRating}}

    Optical properties according to EN14500: 2008

  • Solar reflection {{site.selectedConfiguration.solarReflection}}%

    Optical properties according to EN14500: 2008

    The percentage of solar radiation reflected by the textile.

  • Openness factor {{site.selectedConfiguration.opennessFactor}}%

    The percentage of openings in the textile.
