Trapped in heaven is a luxuriously draping curtain created by renowned artist Danh Vo. It features an evocative French quote in a bold-woven script based on the calligraphy of the artist’s father. As it drapes in the light, a delicate and serene moiré effect plays across its surface, allowing the unicoloured textile to echo the colours of its surroundings. The curtain is jacquard woven in both single and double layers; a playful technique that results in the letters being woven as pockets, surrounded by the single-layered background. This sophisticated construction creates elegant transparency across the surface and infuses the curtain with tactile multidimensionality. For the complete French quote featured on Trapped in Heaven, we recommend ordering a minimum of 5 meters.
Crafted with 74 % recycled Trevira CS, Trapped in heaven transforms industrial waste into a sculptural textile. Fire-retardant, it also suits a wide variety of commercial applications. It can be hung vertically and horizontally. As a remarkable statement piece, it is particularly well-suited to hospitality venues.

LightFastness {{site.selectedConfiguration.lightFastness}}
ISO 105-B02
Lightfastness relates to the ability of a textile to retain its colour under light. When testing for lightfastness, samples are exposed to artificial daylight for a specified period.
The evaluation scale ranges from 1 (worst) to 8 (best). An increase of one point corresponds to a doubling of the lightfastness, i.e. the same fading takes twice as long.

Visual light transmission {{site.selectedConfiguration.lightTransmission}}%
Light transmittance indicates the percentage of the visible light penetrating the textile. Densely woven textiles in dark colours usually have a lower light transmittance, whereas loosely woven fabrics in light colours allow more light to pass through.

Flame retardant performance depends on the type of foam used. There are differing requirements concerning the flame-retardancy of textiles dependent on the area of application, country or even region. Our textiles pass the majority of international standards and are also tested for a selection of regional requirements.

Regular cleaning is important in order to keep the curtain textile looking its best and to prolong its life. Dust and dirt wear down the textile and also reduce its fire-retardant properties.

Regular care
If possible, we recommend washing curtains once a year. If used heavily, a more frequent cleaning may be appropriate. All curtain fabrics by Kvadrat and Sahco are supplied with a care label. We recommend the use of detergent without optical bleach for all items in which, according to care instructions, washing is possible. Please take into account a possible shrinkage between 1–4 %. It is always possible to wash at a lower temperature that the one specified for light soiling. Please contact a professional dry cleaner if dry cleaning is the only option for maintenance. A professional dry cleaner may also assist in working out maintenance schedules which ensure that the fabrics are maintained properly so that a good indoor climate and maximum duration of the curtains are achieved.
