Transparent Reflect is a metallised curtain textile designed by Louise Sigvardt, with an airy, elegant expression. It combines a leno-woven front side of fine polyester yarns with an aluminium backing, delivering light and heat-controlling properties, spectacular view-through and daytime privacy benefits.
Inspired by the concept of viewing the world through soft and calming colour filters, Transparent Reflect comes in 7 neutral yarn-dyed shades which echo solid colours, as if they have been held up to the light. These notes have been designed to create a sophisticated dynamic with its metallised layer, which gives the curtain a softly shimmering surface.
Louise Sigvardt: “My approach to defining the colours for Transparent Reflect was more abstract than any of my previous projects for Kvadrat. I spent time observing how light moves through various colours. The result is a palette that is toned down and hazy, like when the sun breaks through a colour.”

LightFastness {{site.selectedConfiguration.lightFastness}}
ISO 105-B02
Lightfastness relates to the ability of a textile to retain its colour under light. When testing for lightfastness, samples are exposed to artificial daylight for a specified period.
The evaluation scale ranges from 1 (worst) to 8 (best). An increase of one point corresponds to a doubling of the lightfastness, i.e. the same fading takes twice as long.

Visual light transmission {{site.selectedConfiguration.lightTransmission}}%
Light transmittance indicates the percentage of the visible light penetrating the textile. Densely woven textiles in dark colours usually have a lower light transmittance, whereas loosely woven fabrics in light colours allow more light to pass through.

Flame retardant performance depends on the type of foam used. There are differing requirements concerning the flame-retardancy of textiles dependent on the area of application, country or even region. Our textiles pass the majority of international standards and are also tested for a selection of regional requirements.

Metallised curtains
With our collection of metallised curtain textiles, you can control the light and reduce the heat, creating the optimal indoor climate for well-being and productivity.
Regular cleaning is important in order to keep the curtain textile looking its best and to prolong its life. Dust and dirt wear down the textile and also reduce its fire-retardant properties.

Metallised curtains
We recommend cleaning curtains once a year if needed. If used heavily, a more frequent cleaning may be appropriate. All curtain fabrics from Kvadrat are supplied with a care label. We only recommend mild cleaning for metallised curtains as the alubacking might be damaged by washing and severe handling. Please always handle metallised curtains with care eventually bearing white gloves during handling to protect the alu backing. Please take into account a possible skrinkage between 1-2%. A professional dry cleaner may also assist in working out maintenance schedules which ensure that the fabrics are maintained properly so that a good indoor climate and maximum duration of the curtains are achieved.

Regular care
If possible, we recommend washing curtains once a year. If used heavily, a more frequent cleaning may be appropriate. All curtain fabrics by Kvadrat and Sahco are supplied with a care label. We recommend the use of detergent without optical bleach for all items in which, according to care instructions, washing is possible. Please take into account a possible shrinkage between 1–4 %. It is always possible to wash at a lower temperature that the one specified for light soiling. Please contact a professional dry cleaner if dry cleaning is the only option for maintenance. A professional dry cleaner may also assist in working out maintenance schedules which ensure that the fabrics are maintained properly so that a good indoor climate and maximum duration of the curtains are achieved.
