Product description

Tonight is a piece-dyed, woven blackout curtain with a gentle and sophisticated personality. Crafted from 70% recycled polyester, the curtain has a remarkably soft drape and a lustrous, almost silky surface with a smooth hand.

Tonight offers a spectrum of twelve diverse and appealing colours, ranging from light, muted natural tones to deeper and richer hues like Sky, Forest, Eclipse and Silver Grey. When light hits the monochrome surface, these colours are given a fascinating shimmering depth, and the subtle structure of diagonal ribs is brought to life.

Due to its special weaving construction the twill weave is reversible and can be hung vertically and horizontally. Tonight is flame-retardant and is suitable for public and private spaces.

With our commitment to reduce the environmental impact of our products, we have avoided the use of PFAS chemicals which pose significant risks to both environmental and human health.

Tonight removes the need for an additive coating and still achieves the properties of a woven blackout curtain through its considered use of manufacturing methods, such as weaving with a higher density of yarns to prevent light transmission.

Performance
  • LightFastness {{site.selectedConfiguration.lightFastness}}

    ISO 105-B02

Lightfastness relates to the ability of a textile to retain its colour under light. When testing for lightfastness, samples are exposed to artificial daylight for a specified period.

The evaluation scale ranges from 1 (worst) to 8 (best). An increase of one point corresponds to a doubling of the lightfastness, i.e. the same fading takes twice as long.

  • Absorption (100 mm) 0.55/Class D (Absorption flat) 0.90/Class A (Absorption folded)

    EN ISO 354

Acoustic absorption is indicated as αw-value which approximately corresponds to the percentage of sound absorbed. For instance, an αw-value of 0,4 translates into 40% absorption of sound.  Acoustic absorption of a textile is measured in its flat and draped state.

  • Airflow 755 Pa s/m

    EN ISO 9053-1

Airflow resistance influences the sound absorbing qualities of a textile. Typically, the denser the construction of the textile, the higher the value.

  • Fire tests NFPA 701 • EN 13 773 class 1 • DIN 4102 B1 • NF P 92 507 M1 • JIS L 1091 A-1 D • UNI 9177 Classe 1 • BS 5867 part 2 type B • SN 198 898 5.2 • EN 13501-1, B-s1, d0 • AS/NZS 1530.3

Flame retardant performance depends on the type of foam used. There are differing requirements concerning the flame-retardancy of textiles dependent on the area of application, country or even region. Our textiles pass the majority of international standards and are also tested for a selection of regional requirements.

Care instructions curtain textiles

Regular cleaning is important in order to keep the curtain textile looking its best and to prolong its life. Dust and dirt wear down the textile and also reduce its fire-retardant properties.

  • Regular care

If possible, we recommend washing curtains once a year. If used heavily, a more frequent cleaning may be appropriate. All curtain fabrics by Kvadrat and Sahco are supplied with a care label. We recommend the use of detergent without optical bleach for all items in which, according to care instructions, washing is possible. Please take into account a possible shrinkage between 1–4 %. It is always possible to wash at a lower temperature that the one specified for light soiling. Please contact a professional dry cleaner if dry cleaning is the only option for maintenance. A professional dry cleaner may also assist in working out maintenance schedules which ensure that the fabrics are maintained properly so that a good indoor climate and maximum duration of the curtains are achieved.
