The Art of Openness and Privacy
The store is divided by a rhythm of sliding doors, which open to reveal golden layers upholstered with Topic by Sahco at the core of the space. Venturing into the heart of the space to encounter these gilded elements captures a sense of discovering a secret treasure.
Chaos Programme also chose Tropic for a white sofa, which aligns with the black and white interior palette. Partition walls and sliding doors are white, and the frames of the doors and furniture are black. A foundational idea is that black symbolises privacy while white symbolises openness. Together, the two colours shape perceptions of depth and privacy within the abstract space.
A Play of Shades and Textures in Retail Design
Elsewhere, chairs are upholstered in Avalon by Sahco in a verdant shade of emerald green. This subtle tone harmonises with the natural touches seen throughout the retail space.
The store, which invites exploration and curiosity, comprises different zones that offer a play of shades and layers. There is light pine flooring in the retail space, the transitional space has black pine flooring, and the cashier's space is wrapped in black walls to create a distinctively private area.
