A renovated private residence in Ningbo, China, embodies a design philosophy that blends the living spaces with the garden. At the home, Kvadrat curtains, rugs, and a Kvadrat Acoustic solution accentuate softness, aesthetic quality, and connections between the residents, the interiors, and the landscape outside.

The designer specified timeless designs that accommodate their vision for the home and the owner’s tastes, drawing on the expansive choice provided by the Kvadrat collection. They also chose the Kvadrat textiles, rugs and acoustic panels as they are soft, sustainably designed and long-lasting.

Lin Weiping, founder of LWPD: Working with Kvadrat has always been an inspiring experience. They not only provide high-quality textiles, but they also offer a rich selection of colours and textures that ignite my creative inspiration. Furthermore, Kvadrat textiles achieve a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics. They are not only durable and easy to maintain but also add an elegant touch to the project."

The living room and dining room of the residence both use Medley curtains. In the sitting room, the rug Kanon Pattern Plow in a grey-green tone harmonises with the leather chairs. The sheen on the chairs elegantly contrasts with the pile, bringing added depth and cohesion to the space. Meanwhile, in the master bedroom, the rug Lavo adds further dimensions of texture, tactility and colour coherency.

Curtains woven from Artic, Canyon and Air in bedrooms add to the sense of unity in the home by creating refined visual rhythms with the flooring and furniture. In the Tea room, Allround, a half cotton, half linen curtain contributes to shaping a fresh expression, which feels both contemporary and classic.

In the unicoloured Living room, the curtain Canyon deliver meticulous colour consistency. Shangri-la blind finished with Raffia light clay note coordinate provide control over light and visual comfort in the workshop.

In the home theatre, a Kvadrat Acoustic solution comprising Soft Cells Broadline acoustic panels elevates aural and visual comfort. The panels are seamlessly installed on the walls are upholstered with Mi Casa. The solution neatly integrates LED lighting.

Large floor-to-ceiling windows are used in various spaces throughout the home, which also incorporates outdoor landscaping. The residential architecture and the surrounding garden penetrate each other, forming a unified living space where views of the surroundings can be seen from every indoor space.
