B+H’s interior design for a Confidential Tech Client at The Post building in Vancouver, Canada, incorporates a selection of Kvadrat and Kvadrat Febrik textiles. The interior design vision follows the concept of “ROOTS, STORY, CRAFT”, emphasizing the roots in the site’s heritage, the surrounding urban fabric, and the generations of people who have called it home.

The upholsteries chime with the interior concept and are used on specially designed booth-seating in circulation areas to be visually striking and increase comfort. The full-height booths envelop people, providing a sense of shelter and increasing the potential for sound absorption.

Maura Gonzalez, Senior Interior Designer: “It was important for the built-in seating to be an extension of the architectural language of the building, down to the textiles that the users are sitting on. For instance, the Husk and Triangle patterns nod to the motifs and gestures found on the historic building’s façade. The artful composition of their texture and depth perfectly complements our concept of storytelling through craft.”

Dim-out drapery woven from Dawn creates a textural harmony with the upholsteries employed on booth-seating. It provides control over light and a sense of intimacy in the building’s spacious Event Hall.

The Post is the largest office building in Metro Vancouver, spanning over 1.1 million sqf, and provides a collaborative workspace that caters to diverse work styles. It has been recognised with prestigious awards, including VCRA awards: General Contractor - Tenant Improvement over $5M; Trade Contractors $2M-$12M; and Electrical Contractors over $10M.
