Kvadrat Shade textile Athos

In the patient-related areas of the Aarhus University Hospital in Skejby, our high performance roller blind textile Athos is used. Athos is ideal for healthcare facilities due to its excellent maintenance and disinfection properties. At the hospital, Athos is integrated into the Kvadrat Roller Blinds systems.

The use of colour, material and furniture to support physical and mental well-being for staff and patients, while creating coherence, is a cornerstone of the interior concept. Reflecting this, the custom textiles unite the four tones that define the palette at the hospital.

At Aarhus University Hospital, the conscious colouring of furniture and fixtures is employed as an active part of the Find Forward Strategy. This can be seen in our collaboration with Kvadrat, which led to custom fabrics that unite the four colours governing the colour scheme.” John Brøcker, Head of Design, C.F. Møller Architects.

Structured like a town, Aarhus University Hospital is the largest hospital in Denmark. The concept of ‘Healing Architecture’ has been applied by C.F. Møller Architects all over the complex. This can be seen from the design of the single-bed wards and landscape spaces, to the daylight inflows.
