InterContinental Hotel Ljubljana

Focused on realising a unique urban aesthetic, the design concept for the interior of the hotel is by studio wrightassociates. It is based on balancing respect for craftsmanship, material quality and local identity. To empathise this concept Soft Cells Broadline panels upholstered in Casa were employed to ensure optimal acoustic conditions in the three-story atrium where the reception is situated. They are installed in the lobby and on a wall behind reception, which integrates a stylised interpretation of the Ljubljana skyline in brass.

In the B-restaurant, Sunniva 2 for is used for chairs, benches and loose cushions. Cushions covered in Remix are in the Bloom café. In the guestrooms, stools are covered with Noon, bed skirting is crafted with Zap 2, and blackout curtains are made from Casa Stoplight CC.

The guestrooms are characterised by refined details, local motifs and combinations of textiles and material blends. Bedrooms feature natural materials complemented by rich fabrics and clean-line furniture. Bathrooms offer the option to include curtains for extra individuality.

Guests are encouraged to mingle through the interconnecting ground floor zones by layout of the interior space. The fluid transition from reception to the `Bloom Lounge’ creates a hotel lobby, which offers a patisserie and dining bar.

Furthermore, the hotel also offers business facilities, a spa, a fitness area and a pool overlooking the city. The top floor is occupied by B-Bar and B-restaurant, which has a terrace offering a magnificent view of Ljubljana Castle.

The InterContinental Hotel Ljubljana is located within the boundaries of the original old city. The tallest building in the centre of the capital, the hotel offers panoramic views and has a distinctive graphic glass façade.
