Journalist, editor and award winning stylist Marie Monrad Graunbøl has used textiles and rugs from the Kinnasand and Kvadrat collections to create a series of warm spaces with a soft, understated aesthetic.

The Indian tradition of producing intricate rugs can be traced back for centuries. India is known not only for producing handmade rugs but also for the pride its artisans have for carrying on the tradition from generation to generation. Produced by skilled craftsmen in India, our hand knotted rug Icon has a subtle shimmer and an outstanding depth of colour when light is reflected on its vivid surface.

One of the oldest textiles in the world, linen is a woven fabric made from the fibers found in the stems of flax plants. Every year around June, the fields in Belgium turn blue for a couple of days, after which the flowers disappear.

The Nomad is based on an independent and individual concept. The striking industrial feel of the original concrete architecture meets with furniture and fixtures made from oak and the softly textured Kinnasand kelims.

With Scrap_CMYK, Rikako Nagashima takes inspiration from, and gives new life to, ‘waste’ test-print paper sheets and their accidental patterns. These are produced during the off-set printing process when fine tuning colours.

Kinnasand LAB is an initiative by Kinnasand under the creative lead of Creative Director Isa Glink where she collaborates with external designers to give a new interpretation to Kinnasand textiles, innovate and develop new products.

In November 2016, Milan-based designer and stylist Elisa Ossino created a stimulating installation at the Kinnasand flagship showroom in Milan. Inspired by the inherent details of the textiles’ structure and construction, Elisa Ossino based her installation concept on enhancing the transparency and lightness of the materials.

Originally created in 2015 for our showroom in Tokyo, the installation Boingboing consists of four free standing architectural structures in different sizes. All are crafted using just two materials: white Waver textile from our Zoom collection and optical fiber.
