Recycled wool, rich vibrant colours and original weaves

Made from 45% recycled wool, we present Re-wool – a sustainable upholstery by Margrethe Odgaard made partly by scraps from our own production. Continuing our longstanding collaboration with Giulio Ridolfo, we premiere the new screen textile Hint, as well as Glow, a rich, vibrant upholstery featuring an original weave by Frans Dijkmeier coloured by Ridolfo.

Glow

Glow is an upholstery textile with an intriguing, intricate pattern conceived by the late weaving expert Frans Dijkmeijer. It comes in rich, vibrant colours by Giulio Ridolfo.

Woven on a jacquard loom, Glow offers an eye-catching interplay between pattern and structure. The textile’s seemingly random, subtly striated pattern teases the eye, asking the question: is it pattern or structure on display?

Re-wool

Crafted using 45% recycled wool, Re-wool is a rich upholstery textile with a sustainable profile. The textile is partly made by reusing scraps from Kvadrat’s yarn spinners in the UK. It is designed by Danish designer Margrethe Odgaard.

The idea was to create a both honest and environmentally friendly – textile with a poetic feel by recycling leftover material from Kvadrat’s own production’, explains Margrethe Odgaard.

Hint

Hint is a screen fabric that has been specifically developed for wall panels, desk screens, room dividers and other low-abrasion surfaces. Designed by Giulio Ridolfo, it stands out for its natural look and timeless colours.

Densely woven, Hint has a smooth, rich feel. Its refined expression derives from a special yarn. This only partly absorbs dye, creating a melange expression that is reminiscent of wool or linen.

Field 2

Designed by Alfredo Häberli, Field 2 is an upholstery textile characterised by intriguing colour combinations and an intricate chequered pattern. Originally inspired by the classic Kvadrat textile Hallingdal 65, it comes in an updated palette that offers 22 new colourways.

Field 2 showcases Alfredo Häberli’s exceptional talent for creating vibrant, surprising combinations of unicoloured yarns. It is woven with double weft and warp threads in different colours.

Soft Cells Tracks and Node

Allowing for free-form curves, Soft Cells Tracks are site-fabricated acoustic wall solutions, made with 25% recycled fiberglass.

A seamless fit with our Kvadrat Soft Cells ceiling solutions, Node is a track system created by Price Industries, that allows easy integration of lighting, security, fire prevention, audio and air distribution systems, creating a smooth visual appearance.

Rennes and Chaînette

Rennes and Chaînette are two sculptural, graphic curtains designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec. They share the same base pattern, which was originally designed for a room divider at an exhibition of their work in Rennes, France.

While the curtains share the same pattern, they are distinctively different. Rennes features wide, diagonal and vertical, densely stitched stripes which intersect, creating eye-catching geometric forms. Chaînette is embroidered with braids which follow the outline of the stripes of Rennes. The tactile braids give Chaînette a discreet three-dimensional and playful character.

Merit by Maharam

Merit is an upholstery textile designed by Maharam Design Studio. Predominantly crafted from recycled material, it offers a rich texture and the pronounced colour depth traditionally associated with wool.

Merit has a soft, dimensional surface which is due to the use of voluminous yarns held in place by fine mélange yarns un its construction. Weathered and solid fibre effects are produced using two different types of dye, which delivers eye-catching colour richness.

Messenger 4 by Maharam

Messenger 4 is a colour update of Messenger 3, a sophisticated and easy-to-use upholstery textile created by Maharam Design Studio. Designed to deliver excellent stretchability, it is suitable for all types of seating and upholstered walls.

Featuring a texture reminiscent of wool, Messenger 4 is piece-dyed using a special cross-dyeing technique. This gives the fabric a two-tone look, which can make it appear to have been woven with different warp and weft threads.

Sudden by Maharam

Non-woven Sudden is a versatile upholstery textile with a brushed metal appearance created by a finely textured vertical emboss. Crafted by Maharam Design Studio, Sudden’s sleek, lustrous surface has been part of Maha-ram’s offering since 2004 and is now available in an updated palette of subdued and expressive shades.

When upholstered onto furniture, Sudden creates the illusion of fluid metal forms. Engineered to stretch and embrace the structure of furniture, it is ideal for upholstering organic shapes.

Chasm by Maharam

Chasm is a high-performance upholstery textile, which brings a new woven look to Maharam’s offering of non-woven fabrics.

Printed onto a metallic base, Chasm’s stippled texture and spacious horizontal slub construction create the illusion of a natural, woven surface. Light embossing enhances the textile’s tactility, while it gains depth from layers of semi-transparent ink.
