Emboss is a sleek, industrial non-woven upholstery textile designed by Konstantin Grcic in collaboration with Maharam. It stands out for its new material language, in which non-woven textiles can enhance an applied surface to the point of optical illusion.
Emboss features clusters of dotted imprints, which vary in size and depth. These have a ‘molecularity’ that is counterbalanced by their gridded, symmetrical arrangement. A lustrous surface enhances the moonscapelike expression of the fabric.
