Project
Mark Kenly Domino Tan took ‘materials’ – and their respective textures, colours and shapes – as inspiration for his Autumn/Winter 2014 collection. The collection portrays a classic silhouette with a ‘higher aesthetic’. It is characterised by a play of illusory nuances. These give the materials different three-dimensional looks and a strong sense of depth.

Strokes of colour that balance a matt palette set the mood of the collection. Silhouettes are slim to emphasise femininity. Bold shapes, which trick the eye, appear to create curious body shapes, adding a touch of humour.

Solution
Highfield is used across the collection. Mark Kenly Domino Tan has also used Kvadrat textiles in his Spring/Summer collections for 2014 and 2015.
