Kvadrat Shade: Minimal Brackets M roller blinds with Loa textile
The VanOost Restaurant is located in the Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Maurits at the Park in Amsterdam. The large open kitchen is the centrepiece of the fine dining restaurant, which forms a magnificent space with its fifteen-metre-high ceilings and original wooden vaults. The luxurious decor and the choice of our very coarsely woven textile Loa in colour 0188, creates a warm and natural feel.
Paul Linse (Studio Linse): "We chose transparent roller blinds as window coverings. For this impressive monumental space, we wanted window coverings that would not distract from it. We felt it was important to stay in the masculine and earthy fine dining atmosphere that characterises the restaurant. On sunny days, the selected roller blind textile creates a special effect, with sunlight filtering through, enhancing the overall experience."
In the restaurant, our Kvadrat Shade Minimal Bracket M system was selected. Thanks to the innovative bracket folded from a single piece of steel, this roller blind system minimises the use of materials. This system, stands out as our best performing choice for reducing the system’s carbon footprint, while also being easy to assemble and use. Applied in the VanOost Restaurant, the roller blind creates an industrial ambience that blends seamlessly with the restaurant's 'masculine' fine dining atmosphere.
