Kvadrat Innovation Lab is our material innovation lab which sits at the cutting edge of our longstanding commitment to push the boundaries of textile design and material exploration. Our team of engineers seeks breakthrough fibres, yarns, materials, and production processes, which support our transition towards more circular products and more sustainable production.
Our research methodology is built on collaborative innovation: the Kvadrat Innovation Lab team is set up as an incubator and works on pioneering research projects with progressive universities, start-ups, and companies. Once a project is mature enough to deliver viable technological opportunities, it is shared with the relevant design teams and product managers from across the Kvadrat Group and can be brought to the market to be commercialised with external partners.
At this stage, the different teams unite to optimise the development and implementation of new production technologies, yarns, and materials. Critically, all the innovations are rigorously tested to ensure they meet our stringent quality and sustainability standards.
