Design Coordinator for Product Development, Kvadrat Ebeltoft
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detailed oriented Design Coordinator to join our Product Development team at our HQ in Ebeltoft!
About our new Design Coordinator
In this job, you will manage and coordinate the development of curtain and upholstery textiles. Running projects will be your main priority. In addition, you will be expected to do continuous research on materials, design, art, and customer needs. Occasionally, you will be involved in activities with our sales and marketing departments, such as arranging colour workshops and product presentations. You will be a part of our great team with 10 dedicated and creative colleagues. It is a full-time position, and you can expect up to 15 travel days a year.
Working in Kvadrat’s Product Development department, you will always find yourself collaborating with others – internally (from quality control to marketing and sales) as well as externally (in constant dialogue with production units and designers).
Your main tasks will include:
- Supporting the development of a new product from idea to commercial launch, collaborating with suppliers and internal departments while ensuring the high-quality standard of Kvadrat.
- Framing and unfolding colour concepts together with our external designers.
- Supporting the development of weaving constructions from the idea to industrial production
- Doing handovers to Quality, Warehouse and Procurement.
- Preparing and performing briefing sessions with Marketing and PR to create inspirational material being used internally and externally.
Qualifications & Competencies
You have a relevant educational background, e.g., textile designer combined with experience in project management, preferably from a commercial setting.
You are a strong communicator in both written and spoken English. You possess excellent skills in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, as well as in Excel.
You have a high sense of aesthetics. You have a good understanding and feel for colours, as well as a good eye and interest in woven textiles. You also find joy in unfolding creative ideas in a commercial framework, and you can see yourself functioning as a creative translator for our external designers.
You are process-oriented and able to prioritize tasks and deadlines.
You are highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable. You value teamwork highly and enjoy working in cross-functional teams.
