Mix-set 
Using Kvadrat Febrik’s Mosaic knitted textile

In a rich society with countless subdivided objects, Ximi Li has reflected on the process to achieve ultimate integration. This project examines multifunctional furniture and how its different modules can merge seamlessly. Mix-set is based on the question: if only one form is used, can it accommodate the different needs? Mix-set aims to serve various uses including a tapestry, carpet, seating and bedding. The designer hopes to use this kind of exploration as a starting point to break the furniture norm and inspire interesting combinations. Upholstered in Kvadrat Febrik’s Mosaic knitted textile, it features soft-edged, tactile diamond shapes that play across its surface.
